Play Video In 2010, we completed our 10-year, $1.2 billion program to dramatically reduce overall emissions from our Florida-based power plants. Our industry-leading efforts should result in the annual reduction of sulfur dioxide (SO2), NOx and particulate matter emissions by 88 percent, 90 percent and 71 percent, respectively, below 1998 levels. Our program also has lowered emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2), a greenhouse gas most targeted as contributing to global warming, by 25 percent since 1998.
