Business Cooperative Education (BCE) High School Program

The Business Cooperative Education (BCE) High School Program recruits students from local high schools to give them the opportunity to work in a professional environment. Typically, students involved in this program work full-time during the summer and part-time after school for the remainder of the school year. Most of the hiring for the BCE program takes place in the months of April and May. Students begin their training full-time in the summer.

  1. Talk to your school guidance counselor. Students need permission from their high school to participate in the BCE program. Requirements include a minimum GPA, which varies by school, and eligibility to register for school classes. Several schools participate in this program, however, others can be added by contacting Peggy Stanford at 813-228-1725 or .
  2. Apply. The BCE position will be posted on the company Web site in the month of April (and possibly throughout the year if a student does not work out). All students who are interested must fill out an application and download their resume onto our website.
  3. Interview. Applicants that qualify will be interviewed on the jobsite or at school.
  4. Consider offer. Students offered positions will be asked to come to the company’s downtown Tampa, Florida location to complete paperwork. A background check will be conducted (which will involve a guardian’s signature) and students will be given a form to take to an offsite laboratory for a drug test. This step must be completed within 48 hours of an acceptance.

Students will be responsible to provide their own transportation to and from work every day.
