Ethics Quick Test
Sometimes we are faced with an ethical dilemma where the best course of action may not always be clear. Here are some questions to ask yourself to determine if an action is appropriate:
- Is the action legal?
- Does it comply with our rules and regulations?
- Is it consistent with our organizational values?
- Will I be comfortable and guilt free if I do it?
- Would I be perfectly OK with someone doing it to me?
- Would I do it to my family or friends?
- Would the most ethical person I know do it?
- How would it look in the newspaper or on the evening news?
