TECO Energy announces Webcast of update to the financial community

TECO Energy, Inc. (NYSE:TE) today announced that it plans to webcast an update to the financial community of its 2007 outlook and longer-range plans, primarily for Tampa Electric, on Wednesday March 28, 2007 at 8:00 AM Eastern time. The webcast will be concurrent with a presentation to financial analysts.
The update will include a discussion of the company's 2007 outlook, the prospects for baseload generation capacity needs at Tampa Electric after 2012, and the potential use of coal-fired Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) technology to meet this need.
