TECO Energy publishes Corporate Sustainability Report
The report is available online and addresses the company’s sustainability initiatives and the balancing of responsibilities to investors, customers, team members, the community and the environment

TECO Energy today released the company’s Corporate Sustainability Report (CSR) outlining its corporate sustainability efforts and accomplishments for 2009. The report details the company’s efforts to sustain its businesses for today and tomorrow by focusing on stewardship and foresight.
Chairman and CEO Sherrill Hudson said, “TECO Energy in 2009 made great strides as a company and our CSR provides an overview of the various activities that our team members have undertaken and accomplished. We believe that we are part of the impact on the future of the communities we serve and we take this responsibility very seriously.”
The report includes the company’s priorities, including:
- Meeting our stakeholder’s expectations and providing long-term business sustainability;
- Managing our energy business through engaged team members who effectively serve our customers and our community;
- Being stewards of our natural resources; and
- Exhibiting the highest ethical behavior and compliance with all laws and regulations.
The reporting for 2009 includes all four businesses, and explains how the company as a whole views and acts on its responsibilities to balance economics, energy and the environment.
